Sony Xperia X and XA – a hit or miss

Sony has recently launched the new X series of Xperia phones as a continued effort to grab a place in the top smartphone makers list. But it seems to be a more desperate move than a strategically planned launch by the Japanese giant.

Recently, Sony has taken a few big steps in order to create their position in the smartphone market. This includes, selling their laptop business (Vaio) and forgoing their all existing Xperia series of smartphones (C, E, M and Z) in favor of  the new Xperia X series. This leaves all  of us looking at the new launches from Sony with a high expectation.

Sadly, Sony could not amaze us with the Xperia X and Xperia XA either. They feel like just two new Z series of Xperia phones. Launching a new series could not do the magic. They just do not feel like anything new from Sony.

Below are the specifications of these two phones for you:

Come on, Sony. USB 2.0, 1080i (FHD) resolution and 3GB RAM are the specifications of the past.  At least for a flagship. How these can be expected to bring a fortune to Sony! The minimum that is expected is QHD resolution, USB 3.0 Type C, and 4 to 6 gb of ram.
